We are looking for an


You are part of our Group R&D team in Lahti and responsible for the development of cereal-based ingredients for food applications. You work in close cooperation with our commercial teams, production and customers, to ensure a customer-driven and efficient innovation process, a smooth scale-up and successful product launch. You also network with research institutes and universities both locally and internationally to set up a project portfolio that supports the long-term development needs of Senson and Viking Malt. You contribute to the idea generation process and help to identify new opportunities based on consumer insights, ingredient trends, food legislation and production capabilities. We offer to you:

We expect you to have:

  • Suitable academic degree (MSc, BSc) and minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant field
  • In-depth knowledge of food technology and processing
  • Basic understanding of food and environmental standards and legislation
  • Sound commercial knowledge and understanding of customers & markets
  • Project management skills and proven record on successfully leading development projects
  • Managerial experience, good people leadership and motivation skills
  • Problem solving skills and a proactive way of working
  • Fluency in English
  • Possibility to travel regularly (about 40- 50 days a year)

Magnus Fagerstedt has started as Managing Director at Senson on the 1st of December 2016. He has over 15 years of experience from the chemical and oil & gas industries, where he has held various leadership roles ranging from sales to logistics and production planning. Prior to joining Senson, Magnus has been Managing Director for Finex Oy.
