Versatile beta-amylase enzyme

Senson Betalase 1500 EL is particularly effective for starch hydrolysis in the production of sugar syrups. It can also serve as a processing aid in the brew house, enhancing saccharification during mashing, especially when the malt quantity is insufficient, such as in brews with a high proportion of adjuncts. Recently, its applications have expanded to plant-based dairy alternatives like ‘oat milks,’ where the beta-amylase enzyme helps achieve the desired taste and texture changes in the main ingredient, opening up new food categories for the FMCG sector.
