Own production

Senson’s own production facility is located in Lahti.The factory consists of three production lines and a packing department, that produce enzymatically inactive malt and cereal extracts, as well as malt enzyme.

The production process consists of:

  1. Crushing malt and cereal
  2. Mixing malt and cereal flour with water, and mashing
    • During this phase, as much of the raw material as possible is made into a liquid form
  3. Wort separation with a mash filter
  4. Concentration by evaporation to 70–80 per cent, depending on product
  5. Intermediate storing
  6. End product mixing and packing.
The quality of each batch is ensured with a laboratory analysis.
