Own production
Senson’s own production facility is located in Lahti.The factory consists of three production lines and a packing department, that produce enzymatically inactive malt and cereal extracts, as well as malt enzyme.
The production process consists of:
- Crushing malt and cereal
- Mixing malt and cereal flour with water, and mashing
- During this phase, as much of the raw material as possible is made into a liquid form
- Wort separation with a mash filter
- Concentration by evaporation to 70–80 per cent, depending on product
- Intermediate storing
- End product mixing and packing.
The quality of each batch is ensured with a laboratory analysis.
